hopes it is out next Spring to spend Christmas monies on it. I have little faith in Natal, but maybe it is a more reliable sku....finally!
I want a 360 Elite, but I only care about a handful of 360 games. You named two. Alan Wake and Conviction are two others. Most third parties games interest me more than 360 exclusives right about now, especially that gorgeous Brink.
The thing is I don't have to have a 360 to play these. I can use a friends.
You are one of the few who seem to understand that there is a bigger issue that just graphics of just one game! Ghostbusters is being used as a soapbox to promote this engine.
As with the Unreal Engine, I think cross-platform engines are unreliable due to the PS3's architecture being complicated. The Infernal Engine is all platforms except DS. So I'm suspect of it. I'd rather see PS3 specific engines promoted, but I appreciate the devs dilemma.
I would like to he...
anyway because of the same damn media. We find out about it's features, gameplay, etc. all because of the media. Our purchase decisions are formulated using information from the media. The media said it would optimize what the PS3 can do.
Then we go over to a friends house and SEE it on their XBox too. No one's that naive. Not everyone will care, true, but some do at various extents. Don't fault them for doing so.
to me cause I only have a PS3, bought first because I expect it to be the better of the two systems both in power and graphics.
Moreso, I want to know if we can expect similar performance from other titles using Infernal Engine and if something can be done about it. So far, Terminal Reality is sidestepping the issue.
Gamebloggers like Mr. Bitbag may understand a little about games, but not consumer behavior. Graphics don't have to be a big deal to be a deal breaker...
More like Terminal IP...
If Sony is smart they'd pull the plug on this for the future, to hell with Dan Akroyd. How can they let one of their licenses turn into so much bad PR? I thought Sony screened games to make sure they are at parity with other systems. How did that fail? I want to know.
But we aren't going to get ANY answer, so they won't get my money. This is the second disappointment this summer for me. Batman better be good this August, or it will be s...
you don't have to have an MBA to know that! Bubbles up for not being as simple as the authors.
But in this economy, you can't deny $249 kinda stings.
It might sound weird, but the fact that it is that small is worth at least $30 to me. A PSP in the right size. Great!
Remember Sony has to recoup the costs of researching, engineering and launching the PSPGo. It's price will reflect that.
Still, I'd make it $199, priced to compete with the XBox Arcade during the holidays. I'd market the PSN as a way to monitor game content. Kids will love it for the cool factor. Even 30-something kids like me.
I just picked this one up used when I heard there was going to be downloads coming. I hope it is soon.
About the RROD...well it seems both systems have their pros and cons. PS3 has a steep learning curve. The Xbox is prone to brickage. It's been this way with consoles for awhile.
I take it that's his point.
I've only been buying multi-platform titles off Ebay.
explains some of it, but there are some other areas that looked to be rendered totally different...like the glow of Slimer in the hallway.
I never trust these comparisons. Some jackleg on the internet shouldn't be doing these. Still those with multiple systems want to know. Who else is going to do it?
I know Sony mandates that multiplatform titles are at least as good on the PS3 as the 360. How would they let something like this happen on an IP they own?
Just don't let him get wet!
It was cool too in KZ2.
I guess by memorable I mean it wasn't integral to the gameplay. Turning a car is like 90% or the gampelay in racing.
this is sort of lame. I'm already not thrilled with the Sixaxis in a racing context. One of the things I liked about inFamous is there are no Sixaxis controls. I like it in Flower and Mirror's Edge though. Elsewhere it either sucks or is not memorable...like in Killzone 2.
A real racing wheel would be better.
the marketing of Gears was phenomenal...
Burnt out spaces...Burnt out spa..aa..aces.. w/e
There's a difference with internet hype and the rest of the public. Alan Wake is hyped on the internet, but not much is shown or known about the game outside of site like this.
The same was true for inFamous. All we knew was that it was going to be like Protoype...but even that was speculation. But we thrive off speculation. Yet...
People don't buy off speculation. Those ads let everyone know about inFamous, and the demo cemented the deal.
"We also agree with our customers that there needs to be an interoperability plan for players of L4D1 and L4D2, as multiplayer games are driven by the cohesiveness of their community."
That's what I take it to mean, I guess.
I don't care. I just find it funny...like when you mentioned spinners as if that's something I should relate to.
that will keep me Playstation faithful for generations to come. I've always said that Sony understood the gamer and the industry best.
EA would be a different story. Take Two a different story, but Activision needs to look after itself and stop blaming its problems on the lack of a price cut.
Minus Modern Warfare and GH, they don't have much to offer IMHO. Let'em drop the PS3.
